Materials That Is Easily Absorb Heat

Beta Info Gold / Silver / Crystal

no doubt that writing about all those features games Pokémon Red / Blue / Yellow that no were included in the final version (beta features of these versions ) aroused great interest in me, and I kept investigating.
Today I present the information beta editions Gold / Silver and Cristal, of which the first two have much to offer.

beta versions unfinished Gold and Silver are perhaps the best known, as these games went through many changes as they unfolded. It appears that these two versions are based on the codification of Pokémon Yellow . So we started:

The first mention of "Pokemon 2"

So they called these games in the beginning: " Pokémon 2: Gold and Silver " ie, a direct sequel to the first versions , which had been working since 1997 and had planned to be launched later that year.

Four of the first Pokémon to be shown are the ones you see in the picture below. Because of their color, you might think that these games were originally to be for Monochrome and Super Game Boy Game Boy, and during its development it was decided to make for Game Boy Color.

of the first characteristics to be discussed, there was talk of a skateboard star that would allow access to certain places, which was deleted at the end, if there ever was and that is why I think Gold , the character of the manga, has one. Other data itself remained in the final version due in early development was the presence of a hundred new pokes, real time clock, turns and pokes preevoluciones of old and new MT's and MO's.

Other data given by the anime provided the possible existence of new versions or expansions in the number of monsters, as the appearance Ho-oh in the first chapter, the birth of Togepi later, and many other players to remember.

The first images
They confirm what I said a while ago, the fact that catches are not as full color images of the final game, so these games shows that initially would be for Super Game Boy.
images, as you can see, there are many divergent views in the first generation.

Leaving a large building.

What seemed to be the original town, with houses with fireplaces.

Graphics unused, as the poster, showing a game that was visually more rustic, and graphics of the trees behind the houses were really good.

One route, which they say was driving the National Park.

A sophisticated city with a strange building that could be the original Radio Tower.

The backpack, which was shown to be divided into different pockets to store different things.

The announcement of Pokemon Gold & Silver

logo changed, and the year 1997 happened. The launch date agreed by the developers changed and there were no more news until next year when they announced Pokémon Gold & Silver, and without the "2", and attention to these games was overshadowed by the departure of the versions Yellow in Japan and Red and Blue in America, adding the anime in America ... the coaches were distracted.

New information was emerging
After almost a year without any news about these games, Nintendo's official site updated with new information a new release date (June 1999) and the statement that these games are compatible with the Game Boy Color launched soon.

other hand, displayed new original artworks Slowking, Marill , Bellossom and Hoothoot , plus some pictures of the battles that had not appeared so far.

images battles are almost equal to the finals, but one may note the absence of the sex of the Pokémon.

The title of the prototype stage.

The final title scene.

A fight against Togepi.

And a picture of the PokéDex of Slowking, curiously says there is still no information on this Pokémon, or rather, who was investigating the new Pokémon.

eggs also appeared to be planned from the beginning, but these were quite different to how we come to know.

the leap into the Game Boy Color
Then it was decided to launch this game for Game Boy Color, some pictures were released showing all its colors. While the sites are recognizable, you may notice a few differences:

game Waste
When completed, the game continued to have situations, features and places that ultimately were not used, villages, etc.. One of the most curious maps is the Safari Zone, despite not contain Pokémon inside, you can see a great reduction in size. Other locations listed PokéGear internal as well as the Safari Zone, shows the Green Forest, Cave Celeste (or Dungeon Rare) and Pokemon Mansion, so you might think that these places were going to be at first. Other sites include pharmacy Ecruteak, which eventually was removed.

(remnants of the existing Safari Zone games)

appears that the Cinnamon Island volcano would not erupt because there are maps of the island laboratory, and many other events that I could not fully understand.

Above all, the game contains various amounts of text without using, as one that refers to the sweet honey, it looked like they intended to use in these versions, and would end up appearing in the games of the fourth generation (Diamond, Pearl and Platinum). It also seems that he could put a name to our mother in a draft and would have space for placing two names.

Type "bird" referred to in Article of the betas Red and Blue also kept in these games of the second generation. Codes can also be found that refer to Map of Towns and the Poké Flute, called "Teru-Sama" in the games, impossible to be used.

Coach Coach House Green City contain two teams, which would be equal to those already known but in different evolutionary stages of initial Johto pokes.
There are other data without using sprites (I could not see) and melodies (that also I could hear). However, there is an event related to the Burned Tower, a lost child, who may have been changed by the loss of the SS Aqua girl.

more beta maps can be viewed on the publishers of the games are around the net, and many of them are great, and even seem to towns and cities known:

And finally, the one I liked and called attention, a town completely erased, gym and all, probably located in the Lake of Rage.

known Pokémon primitive designs.
I know that look fake, but I've seen that confirms a lot about the veracity of these Pokémon:

From left to right, we could see early versions or sketches (above) Chikorita, and a poke Qwilfish unknown and (bottom) like a Marill, another "Raichu" Fire and GIRAFARIG.
will clamp this information, but I saw on a page "reliable." Chikorita, the unknown and poke "Raichu" I mentioned might be the sketches of future starters in those games, of which only Chikorita that would be redesigned.

A totally unknown turtle

Stranger "Clefairy" who say it could be a sketch of Hitmontop.

Tyranitar Sketch, with several differences (such as arms, the color of his belly, etc.).

Finally, in this video, between 1:58 and 2:05 minutes seven seconds you can see Pokémon beta 2 in motion:

And images I've collected, coaches and conceptual art:

Another female character in Crystal
Unfortunately, I found a bigger picture and more information about this:

Picture shows the map Town of PokéCenter Trigal, a little different from what would be really in the final version.
But the interesting thing is the right side, which shows the female character, or rather, the prototype of it, which shows a totally different girl Crystal we all know. Who knows maybe it's for the girl's picture above.

And that was it. I hope the article has seemed interesting, and I hope one day reveal more and more of these details. Greetings!
