What Does The British Red Rose Pin Means?

MANIFESTO. 1 MAY 2011

AGAINST THE CRISIS. TIME FOR TAKING ACTION

The May 1 date is a particularly symbolic for the working class worldwide. To remember and retrieve her heroic struggle of workers killed by the bosses in Chicago to demand the eight-hour day, back in 1886.

Today, the workers have to continue the struggle with the same forcefulness because the attack we are suffering from the capital employer recalls the savagery of the nineteenth century.

The working class, working classes, the most disadvantaged social groups, women, migrants, youth, seniors, students, the people suffer at the forefront of labor and social exploitation, dispossession of the most basic rights exclusion, precarious, temporary, marginalization, unemployment ... in a capitalist system maintained and managed by governments and professional politicians, employers, large corporations and institutional unionism sells us miserably by mere crumbs.

are degraded and cut all type of labor, social, trade union and human. Today we have more work to charge less, we must work longer to qualify for a lower state pension, we are forced to sign blank contracts can say goodbye freely and without compensation, have eliminated the reference to collective agreements that put a stop to excesses and abuses of business.

We can not continue supporting the economic policy and the agreed upon antisocial Zapatero and his government with big business in this country, as if they were the owners of our lives, all without any democratic legitimacy.

From the CGT, men and women say no to this society violent, macho and aggressive. Not this segregated society, racism and xenophobia. Not this consumption and development system that puts private interests, capital gains, competitiveness, productivity, human rights and life itself, which accepts industrial accidents as something natural, we use people as mere commodities.

say no to a censoring freedom of expression, freedom of communication, freedom of association, which privatized public services, which negotiates with dictators, a society that is imposed forgetting historical memory, which does not override Franco statements, which bases its operation on fear and repression to those who oppose and fight for dignity, social justice, for freedom.

From the CGT say no to nuclear energy because there is no reason to accept the slightest risk to endanger human life and the planet. We say no to war as a method of conflict resolution, not the military intervention.

For the CGT is the time to speak and when to take action to build a just and free society. It's time for labor and social mobilization to be the working men and women actors its future.
